Who we are

The Trip Countdown is owned and operated by Moore Digital Holdings LLC, 4424 Bremner Dr, Austin, Texas 78749, United States. You can reach us any time at admin@moore-digital.com.

Information we collect

• Account information — the email address and name associated with your sign-in (email/password or Google).
• Trip information — destination, dates, trip name, and any optional details you add.
• Traveler contact details — the first name and phone number or email address each traveler enters for themselves on the trip invitation page, so we can deliver countdown messages.
• Message activity — the countdown messages generated for your trip and their delivery status.
• Consent records — for each traveler who opts in: the exact disclosure wording and version shown, the date and time, the IP address and browser user agent, the phone number or email address, and whether the number was confirmed by a one-time code. We keep these records so we can prove consent was given by the recipient themselves, and we log opt-outs the same way. Trip organizers cannot enroll anyone else's phone number.
• Purchase information — the countdown plan you bought, amount, currency and payment status. Card details are entered directly with our payment processor and never reach our servers.
• Technical data — basic log and device data needed to operate and secure the service.

How we use information

We use your information to create and run your countdown, generate and send daily messages by SMS and email, provide the trip dashboard and share pages, respond to support requests, and keep the service secure and working. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use traveler contact details for advertising.

Adding other people to a trip

When you add someone to a countdown, you confirm that you have their permission to share their phone number or email address with us for this purpose. Recipients can stop messages at any time by replying STOP to a text or using the unsubscribe link in an email. Opting out applies to that trip's messages.

Service providers

We share information only with the providers needed to run the service: Supabase (hosting, database and authentication), Twilio (SMS delivery), our email delivery provider, Stripe (payment processing), and Google Gemini via the Lovable AI gateway (message content generation; trip details such as destination and your optional notes are sent to generate messages, and traveler contact details are not). These providers process information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. Our providers are located in the United States, so information is processed there.

Group threads

If you turn on group messaging for a trip, replies from one traveler are relayed to the rest of the crew, and email replies may show other participants' addresses. You can turn group mode off in trip settings for private one-to-one delivery.

Retention

We keep trip and traveler data while your account and trip exist. Deleting a trip permanently removes its traveler contact details, generated messages and delivery records; a minimal purchase record (plan, amount, date) is retained for tax and accounting purposes. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data by emailing admin@moore-digital.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Your choices

You can access and update your trips at any time in the app, remove travelers, pause or delete a countdown, and request a copy or deletion of your data by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access to trip data is restricted to the account that created it, and payment card data is handled entirely by our payment processor. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Cookies and analytics

We use only the storage strictly necessary to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site trackers, or third-party analytics profiling, so no cookie consent banner is required.

Children

The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by a new "last updated" date on this page.
